I’m Beth Allen, a passionate educator with over 15 years of experience in education. Since completing my PGCE in Secondary History at the Institute of Education, London in 2011, I’ve taught in a range of settings—from mainstream schools to international classrooms in Japan and Sri Lanka. In 2023, I added CELTA certification to my teaching toolkit, further broadening my ability to support learners from diverse linguistic backgrounds. I am currently undertaking my NQP SENCO, which provides the skills and knowledge needed to work alongside schools and the local authority to support SEND students and their families, due to complete in Spring 2026.Alongside teaching, I’ve always embraced creativity. I’ve run a wedding business (while also being a part time teacher and mum to my son), practiced floristry, and pursued art as a personal passion. These experiences shape my belief that talent, imagination, and practical skills are as important as formal qualifications—especially for students with EBSA and/or SEND who thrive in alternative provision settings.Having worked in two mainstream schools in AP, I’ve seen the urgent need for education that nurtures creative careers. At shAPing creatives, I focus on providing pathways where students can develop their creative potential, alongside business/ICT knowledge, functional skills and GCSEs where appropriate. My mission is to help students turn their talents into meaningful opportunities, building confidence, skill, and ambition every step of the way.
